Rocky the Gnome - Lemongrass
Cymbopogon citratus, or lemongrass, is a rockstar at phytoremediation (breaking down the contaminates in soil) and can remove a number of toxins from the soil, including chromium, aluminium, zinc, cadmium, lead, arsenic and nickel. Lemongrass can be used in food such as curry paste and soups, and made into tea. It is also used for medicinal purposes, and its scent in products such as candles and cosmetics.
