DELPRAT GARDEN

The Delprat Garden is an experimental biotechnical land management research project. The project REINSTITUTEs regimes of care by utilising phytoremediation processes, implemented through new garden design at the Delprat Cottage on the fringes of former BHP site at Mayfield.  This act of performative regeneration is synonymous with the initial investigations at White Bay Power Station.  The research project is a collaboration between the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Newcastle, School of Life Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney, Newcastle Industrial Heritage Association, and newcastle port community contribution fund.
